History of my Life |
My name is Emmanuel Samora aged thirteen years old. I came from Kibosho Umbwe, Hai District. My mother is dead a long time ago when I was very young. My grandmother took care of me for eight years until when she got illness and upon through many treatments it was not found not useful. So she passed away and left me with a lot of grievance. To say the truth I loved both my mother and grandmother very much indeed. My father got married to another woman and they had a baby called Tumaini. I stayed with the boys until when he was able to go to school. When he started primary school myself I didn't go to school because my step mother refused to send me to school. At this period my father had a business in Arusha.
I was forced to stay with my step mother only and why she took an advantage of annoyed me the way she likes. She gave me mush work, punishment and any kind of evil she done to me. I had no freedom to say anything.
One day I took a decision to go to Arusha to follow my father who was having a business of selling tomatoes. I met my father at Arusha and I told him about my step mother who refused to send me to school. He told me to go back home and he will come to discuss with my step mother about the matter. He gave me Tsh 400 as a bus fare.
I travelled
from Arusha to my home and reached home safely. I met my step mother who
was very angry about me. In fact I told her that I came from Arusha to
see my father. According to her anger to me she told me to go back to Arusha
and stay with my father. I slept in the cow shed until the morning. The
money I received from my father I used as a bus fare from my home to Moshi
bus stand. I reached at bus stand in the morning with full of thoughts.
At last I met one boy called Gaspar Emmanuel who asked me where I came
from and what I am doing at the Stand. He took me to the Faraja where I
slept there. Through my familiarity one day I met Kate and told her about
to go to primary school. She told me that she will send me to Kishari where
I will stay for ever. Therefore one day she sent me to Kishari. I stayed
there for eight months without going to or attending school. So I decided
to go back to Faraja. I received good news that there is a new Centre opened
at Saba Saba area where every kid received education, food, medical treatment
and other facilities. From this delegation I decided to go there and see
for myself. Now I am at the new centre called Mkombozi. My warm congratulations
must first go to those who played a part for establishing this wonderful
thing. Now I am receiving everything at the centre and I am expecting
probably next year I will attend primary school. Thank you to all staff
at Mkombozi Centre.
